A Lambayeque Silver Alloy Vessel Peru, c. 750 – 1300 AD Constructed of silver alloy. Two spouts each side spanned by a bridge handle with step frets, two with human heads on one side facing the central stepped altar topped by a human head with large crested crown at top. The spouts with attached snake heads at bottom, the body with four heads in repousse wearing crested helmets and earrings, the circular tapering foot also with symbolic objects in repousse. In very good condition, one of the snake heads slightly torn at top and weak at joint to spout, the whole most likely restored in modern times, fresh looking solder at joint of foot and body.
