(4) F. Hopkinson Smith Novels - "The Wood Fire in No. 3" (Scribners, New York 1905) with 'Edith Sullivan' written inside front cover. Edith became the second wife of Edward Hopkinson Jr. (1885 - 1966) in 1928, and was the sister of his first wife, Anne Sullivan who passed in 1925; ---- "Tom Grogan" (Houghton Mifflin, Boston 1896) signed on third page 'O. Hopkinson (1812 - 1905) April 8th, 98' and 'Edward Hopkinson Jr. 1903' ; "The Fortunes of Oliver Horn" (Scribners, New York 1902) with 'O. Hopkinson 1902' and 'Edward Hopkinson Jr 1903' signed on first page; "The Other Fellow" (Houghton Mifflin, Boston 1899) with 'O. Hopkinson Dec 6th 99' and 'Edward Hopkinson Jr 1903' signed on seperate pages. The author, F. Hopkinson Smith, a decendant of Francis Hopkinson, was an author, artist and engineer.
