(26) Manuscript Letters from and pertaining to Oliver Hopkinson (1812 - 1905). Some are folded stampless letters with wax seals, stamped Geneve, St. Germain, BALT Md., Ellicott's P. Mills. Letters begin from a young Oliver to different members of his family, and the later letters are primarily from Europe. Also included is a manuscript letter of mourning from Baltimore Publisher and Hopkinson cohort E. J. Coale in regards to the recent death of Alexander Hamilton Hopkinson (1804-1827). Coale sent several letters of correspondence with Joseph Hopkinson (1770 - 1842) pertaining to finances and education of his son Oliver Hopkinson during his time at the Rock Hill Academy.
