"The Philadelphia Club" 1834-1934 Privately Printed, "being a brief history of the club for the first hundred years of its existence, together with its roll of officers and members to 1934". It is the oldest city club in the United States and one of the oldest gentlemen's clubs, with many notable members and guests. Numbered 6 of 510, with three members of the Hopkinson family listed among the roll. The Club has close affiliations to Joseph Bonaparte as well, as the meetings were once held at his Philadelphia residence.
