Drexel & Co. Philadelphia "A New Home for an Old House" (Privately Printed, William Edwin Rudge, New York 1927); Deluxe Limited Edition in original box, "Fifty de luxe copies have been printed for this edition, of which this is number 18". This differs from the version listed in Lot 38 of this sale in the following ways: The frontispiece of Francis Martin Drexel, done by engraving on wood by Timothy Cole, has been spot mounted and pencil signed by Cole. The Earl Horter etching has also been pencil signed. The Pennell has been pencil signed by Elizabeth Robins Pennell who granted permission for the reproduction. The history and details of Drexel & Company, culminating in their move to what is now known at the 'Drexel And Company Building' located at 15th and Walnut Street in Philadelphia. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. There are several notable images including two Birch's Views, an etching of the building itself by Earl Horter, and a Joseph Pennell image showing Congress Hall, The State House and The Drexel Building.
