Signed 'Francis Hopkinson to Miss Borden July 1768' and also signed 'Joseph Hopkinson to Miss Mifflin Feb 1794'. (Francis Hopkinson 1737 - 1791, Ann Borden Hopkinson 1747-1827, Joseph Hopkinson 1770 - 1842, Emily Mifflin Hopkinson 1774 - 1850) Both dates provided indicate that Francis gave this book to his soon-to-be-wife Ann Borden and then later, this same book was presented by Joseph to his soon-to-be wife Emily Mifflin. "The Book of Common Prayer and Administration of the Sacraments and other Rites and Ceremonies of the Church, According to the Use of The Church Of England, together with the Psalter or Psalms of David" (J. Baskerville, Cambridge 1762); stunning original full leather binding with gilt details and centerpiece bearing the initials "IHS", a desirable title even without the historical significance.
