A Chinese carved rootwood lidded jar/pot modelled as the sleeping poet Li Bai, the lid modelled as his hat bearing carved foliate detail, 18 x 13.5cm, als a carved wooden seated Buddha and a purple and turquoise glazed ascetic Buddhist monk (af). Additional Information The monk's head has been off and crudely reglued, some further chips, losses, nibbles, imperfections throughout, the lidded jar/pot with large split to one side and further split to his hat, the Buddha is modern with general surface wear, there is another sizeable knock to the rim of this pot/jar.
