SEIKOZAN; a fine Japanese Meiji period Satsuma ewer of bronze form, the gilt handle above floral decorated lid and three bands of exquisite painted decoration, the upper with children playing, the main panel with continuous lake landscape and the lower with gilt heightened abstract plaques, signed with gold painted seal to base, height 11cm, length 11cm. Provenance: ex-Haas collection. Additional Information Handle off and glued or a new handle has been applied, clumsy gilt decoration where the handle meets the main body, this is a pity as it is an exceptional piece. Otherwise with just minor gilt rubbing.
