18TH CENTURY TOKYO SCHOOL; a carved ivory okimono depicting a religious procession with mythical beast pulling a cart ferrying gods, two character signature to inset red plaque, the base with further carved chrysanthemum, height 10cm. Additional Information Some apparent natural hairlines in the ivory, some small splits. There is also a hole to the centre of the chrysanthemum carving on the base indicating that it was possibly mounted on something at some time. There may be some minor damage and loses but due to the intricacies of the carving it is quite difficult to tell. In general potential buyers advised to refer to illustrations and request additional if necessary..
