The canvas tension is stiff and the picture is in plane. Teh paint layer is in a good, stable condition. There is a thin layer of varnish which is slightly yellowed but even and semi-glossy. There is a thick layer of dust across the surface. There is wear and staining on the inner, original slip frame.
