和阗白玉质地，温润细腻，有褐色微沁。玉佩通体透雕而成，琢饰两条绳子各自头尾交结，中间连环扭转，两绳相互穿梭交迭，构成极为优美别致的造型。此种造型又称交结四方纹，以喻交游广阔；又类似佛教八吉祥法器中的“盘长纹”，也称“吉祥结”，代表佛心广大圆满，充满智慧。虽说只是绳结佩，但其雕工却十分繁复，将坚硬的玉料雕出柔软相交的绳索具有极高的雕琢难度。整件器物形象逼真，实为一件不可多得的宋代玉佩佳品。参考：台北故宫博物院藏“宋 白玉透雕绳纹佩”，可供参考。
