和阗白玉质地，扁长方形，局部受沁呈红褐色。正面减地阳起琢刻一老者，身着抱腹，斜靠凭几，袒露右肩，盘腿坐于蒲团之上，此造型在宋画中常见。五官、胡须、衣纹以及蒲团细节皆以短阴线琢饰，线条洒脱流畅，刀工刚直遒劲，人物眉清目秀，神态安详，古意盎然。此件带板先施以阴刻线，继而四周轮廓边缘去地斜挖，以突出人物形象，使之有立体感。具有十分浓郁的文人情趣，值得珍藏。
