款识：水中丞。此件水丞以铜为材，器身周围满嵌缠枝花卉纹银丝，器顶部嵌为万字锦地纹，口沿也为万字锦地纹。器腹部每面铸造以八卦纹饰，在文房水丞中较少铸以八卦纹饰，由此可知，此水丞道教文化因素丰富，可能为道教文房用品，也可能为师法道者所有。此类在公私收藏者中不多见，香港苏富比14春拍卖一只水松石山房的八卦纹铜水丞与此件极为类似，可兹对比。参阅：香港苏富比2014年春季拍卖会lot0228
