此件案屏以整块碧玉制成，屏面施细线浅刻，雕仕女戴簪饰菊，挎一篮秋菊，容姿温婉。刻者巧借天然碧玉中的金黄纹理，意寓菊花，十分巧妙。此件插屏所刻人物颇有康熙宫廷画师焦秉贞之风格。焦秉贞为康熙时官钦天监五官正，供奉内廷，亦是宫廷画家。擅画人物，吸收西洋画法，传世有《耕织图》、《仕女图》。此屏中仕女形象纤弱，虽为雕刻，亦可看出画工细腻，衣衫纹理尽皆细腻，正与焦秉贞仕女画风格相符。仕女所束高髻亦为康熙仕女的典型造型，故本品应是当时照宫廷画样作成的宫廷陈设。
