Large colour painting on silk, mounted on a scroll, representing many riders, men and women, travelling in a "blue-green" mountain landscape inspired by the Tang tradition. The characters move in procession, resting at the water's edge or at the foot of a tree, grooms look after horses, while camels carry luggage. Travellers can be seen walking along a cornice or on a bridge.
Bears an apocryphal signature Qiu Ying, a Ming painter of the 16th century.
