An unusually large Chinese Jizhou ware bowl, Song dynasty (960-1279), well potted with a slightly everted rim, boldly splashed with khaki on a lustrous deep brown ground, with a 'A. BLANCO WHITE' label, purchased from Sydney Moss for £18 on 6 October 1960, 16cm diameter, a Jizhou ware tea bowl, Song dynasty (960-1279), decorated to the interior with three formal lozenge-shaped medallions in resist technique with florets reserved in a dark brown glaze, the exterior covered overall with a dark brownish-black glaze and splashed with beige tones simulating tortoiseshell, with a 'BLUETT & SONS LONDON' label, 10.7cm diameter, and another similar, with typical glaze falling short above the foot, 11cm diameter (3) Provenance: The D M Jacobs Collection. 宋 吉州窑碗 一组三件 Condition report: Two Jizhou bowls - Fully restored.
