A collection of three Chinese Jian ware tea bowls, Song dynasty (960-1279), each well potted in a conical shape with a slightly everted rim, comprising: one with hare's fur glaze and a later copper rim, 13.3cm diameter, one with brown splashes against a black ground, 13.4cm diameter, one under an iron rust glaze, 9.5cm diameter, and another similar, under hare's fur glaze, 10.8cm diameter (4) Provenance: The D M Jacobs Collection, two purchased from H R N Norton for £22 on 2 November 1960 and one from William Clayton Ltd. for £30 on 2 March 1961. 宋 建盏 一组四件 Condition report: One with copper rim - unable to check rim condition under metalwork.
