Two seals of the artist: "Shumei", "Qian Du" - Provenance: Former collection of Heide Grebner (1958-2013) collected in the 1980's - Qian Du, style name Shumei, was from a wealthy family from Hangzhou. After his family lost its wealth he had to make his living by selling his paintings in Hangzhou. He developed a very peculiar style of his own with very fine and meticulous brushwork following Wen Zhengming (1470-1559).
