A finely cut Chinese earth symbol Ts'ung made of nephrit jade, circa 1900 All four sides of the Ts'ung with the same fine decoration of a Tao-t'ieh mask surrounded by cloud ornaments. Opaque greyish yellow nephrite jade with traces of sintering. Height 5 cm. Provenance: From a South German family collection, acquired by the father in China in the 1920s and 1930s. Condition: II + Erdsymbol Ts'ung (Cong), Nephrit-Jade, China, um 1900 Hochrechteck mit durchgehender Höhlung (Ts'ung). Alle vier Seiten mit der gleichen feinen Dekoration einer Tao-t'ieh-Maske umgeben von Wolkenornamenten. Opake graugelbe Nephrit-Jade mit Spuren von Versinterung. Höhe 5 cm.
