本件器物为三段式，口沿外撇，如喇叭状，中间鼓腹，下部外撇，二层台圈足，中下部为出戟样式，器型仿青铜觚，为典型的陈设器，全身施釉，釉色厚润均匀，凸起处显露灰黑色胎骨，圈足内凹，内施满釉。胎骨敦厚坚致，釉面温润如玉，乳浊感强，莹润如堆脂，开片纹路清晰。明代仿古之风大为兴盛，官窑列为宋代五大名窑之一，备受世人推崇，本件器物以釉色取胜，以造型见长，以纹片著称，体现出恬淡古雅的艺术风格，一展宋人崇尚纯净一色的审美品位，是一件较为难得的隽品。
