Description

周元亮（1904-?）北京市人，字容庵。1912年进私塾读书并习书画。1920年考入北京中国画研究会，随陈师曾、汤定之、金北楼、萧谦中等学习中国画。周元亮1923年至1948年在北京、天津、上海等地举办个人画展，曾与王雪涛、吴镜汀等人举办联展，三十年代晶体在北京荣宝斋“挂笔单”以卖画为生。1949年以后作品多次参加国内外重大书画展览。周元亮作品构图严谨，写景稠密，画风清雅脱俗。兼工花卉，所画梅、竹清新隽秀。
