Scarce Early 20th c. Songye Prestige Staff in carved wood with replaced lion tail crest, the decorative head depicting a Chief riding an anthropomorphic four-legged demon, small figure riding its tail, another sheltering under its chin, a cluster of seven smaller figures underneath all, having a banded chip-carved knopped top to the tapered staff, 59" tall, excluding the hair. Very good condition.
