Ornately Engraved Sterling Presentation Cup from US Senator Eugene Hale of Maine to his grandson Eugene Hale 3rd on Christmas Day, 1906, a tapered octagonal form with overall foliate engraving, engraved square lip and foot, applied tapered and engraved strap handle, marked 'Galt & Bro', 3016, 'B.S.C.', 3" tall, 3 1/2" wide at handle, 4.755 ozt. Eugene Hale (1836-1918) was US Senator for Maine from 1881-1911, Dean of the Senate from 1908-1911.
