An American Empire sofa from around 1835 with carved claw feet, acanthus leaf arm rests, and flame mahogany trim. Beautifully reupholstered with matching roll cushions. Dimensions are: 90 inches long X 38 inches tall X 23 1/2 inches deep; 2.29 m long X 97 cm tall X 59.7 cm deep. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Minor age wear and marks, some damage to ends of carved leaves under front rail. Provenance: A Loudoun county collection.
