A two-piece, Chinese, wood cabinet with carved decoration and a lacquer surface with gilt, painted door inserts. Inner doors have painted scenes and animals. Interior has three gilt, painted drawers; shelves; and a hidden compartment in the upper section. The lower section has a shelf. Dovetail construction to top and sides. Dimensions are: 76 inches tall X 34 7/8 inches wide X 17 1/8 inches deep; 1.93 m tall X 88.6 cm wide X 43.5 cm deep. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Panels split in upper doors, some age and use wear. Provenance: A North Carolina collection.
