A pair of Chinese blue and white bowls with a 4-character "Shang Xing Le Shi" mark, dating from the Kangxi period. The interior features a roundel with 3 peaches and the exterior features a landscape with bamboo, and a pine tree. Dimensions are: 3 inches tall X 6 inches wide, 7.6 cm X 15.2 cm. All measurements are approximate. High resolution images can be found here Condition: One has significant abrasions to the exterior. Both have firing defects. Provenance: From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area. The items were acquired from various auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's prior to the 1990s.
