An Imperial Chinese turquoise-ground famille rose square base originally used as a stand for a stupa or pagoda, dating from the Qianlong period. There is floral tracery throughout with a ruyi and Greek key border around the base. Dimensions are: 3 inches tall X 7 1/4 inches wide, 7.6 cm X 18.4 cm. All measurements are approximate. High resolution images can be found here Condition: It is cracked and overpainted in multiple areas. The bottom is broken with an area of significant loss. Provenance: From Mrs. Clark in San Diego, California. A family heirloom.
