A pair of Chinese hexagonal famille rose porcelain planters with porcelain stands, dating from the Republic period. Each side of the planters depicts a scene of flowers. The stands feature floral tracery. Dimensions are: 9 inches tall X 10 1/4 inches wide, 22.9 cm X 26 cm. All measurements are approximate. High resolution images can be found here Condition: Several chips to both stands. The planters are in good condition with minor wear to the rims. Provenance: From the Mrs. Bleeden in Los Angeles, California. Inherited from her grandmother, who is the daughter of Louis B. Mayer, one of the founders of MGM.
