An Austro-Hungarian silver cased HaMelech Esther scroll, megillah, Vienna, c.1858, maker's mark incuse CSS, the cylindrical body decorated with vertical bands of continuous oval rosettes centred by a vacant shield-shaped cartouche to a stylised crown top capped by a finial designed as a vase of flowers, the parchment with 28 lines to a column (heavy damage to first two), depth 16.6cm, case length (inc. winder) 38cm. Please note that Roseberys cannot guarantee that this scroll is kosher Please refer to department for condition report one of straps of crown has come unpinned
