A HaMelech Esther scroll, megillah, in silver case and original olive wood box, by the Bezalel School, Jerusalem, c.1925, both the case and box signed in Hebrew 'Bezalel Jerusalem', the scroll case chased with panels depicting scenes from the Book of Esther including Mordecai beseeching Queen Esther on behalf of their people, Esther beseeching her husband, King Ahasuerus, and Mordecai being led in triumph on a horse by Haman, these panels to a three-tiered filigree top capped with ball finial, the parchment with 16 lines to a column, depth 7.6cm, case length 18cm, the box measuring 21.8 x 6.6 x 4.4cm and decorated in black with scenes mirroring those on the megillah case.
