Yuliy Yulevich Klever (Russian, 1850-1924) A wooded lake by moonlight with a bridge and classical sculpture signed 'J V Klever' and indistinctly dated l.r., oil on canvas 69 x 102cm Condition report: Oil on canvas which has been lined. The canvas is in plane with good tension and the paint layer is stable overall. There are areas of overpaint across the surface of the painting covering old damages and areas of loss. The surface of the painting appears to have developed mould following the lines of the cracks, possibly caused by the lining. In the lower half of the painting an attempt to clean off the mould has left the surface smeared and uneven.
