Attributed to Meissen. Theme of the saucer is a man and woman in conversation bordered by a geometric pattern and a gilt rim. The Meissen logo of two crossed swords is on the bottom. Cup has theme of two men having tea in a garden and a single man feeding a squirrel with a flying insect to the right of the figure. Interior of the cup and rim around the base is gilt finish. Dimensions: Saucer: 7/8 inch tall X 5 inches diameter; 2.22 cm tall X 12.7 cm tall. Cup: 3 inches tall X 2 1/2 inches diameter; 7.62 cm tall X 6.35 cm diameter. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Some minor flea bites on the rims of the cup and saucer. Saucer has a firing defect crack on base which does not go through the piece. Provenance: From a Northern Virginia collection.
