A pair of sterling silver candelabra by Maurice Duchin Creations Inc. Each candelabra has a pair of arms supporting two nozzles flanking a biconical knop, upon which is a third nozzle. When detached from the knop, the base contains a fourth nozzle. The bottoms of the bases are marked "Sterling weighted" and "by Duchin." The bottoms of the upper detachable portions are marked "Sterling weighted" flanked by two star-shaped maker's marks. Dimensions are: each measures 6 3/8 inches tall X 10 inches wide, 16.2 cm X 25.4 cm. Weight: altogether both candelabra weigh 950 grams, 31 ozt. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Slight tarnishing throughout. Both bases have dents and some scratches. Provenance: Offered at auction on behalf of the Ashby Ponds Benevolent fund.
