瓶撇口长颈，球形腹，圈足露胎，整器胎质细腻坚致，造型挺拔俊逸，颈部轮廓秀美，腹部浑圆。全器以祭蓝釉地描金为饰，九只狮子，或大或小，神态各异，形神兼备，颇为生动。狮子之“狮”谐“世”音，以寓“九世同堂”，象征家族子嗣繁多，人丁兴旺之意。
狮纹饰历来被视为祥瑞纹样，因古代官阶中，最高品级有“太师”、 “少师”之称。古代官制有太师、少师、太傅、少保。为辅天子之官，官至极品，位列三公，故太狮少狮纹样既有仕途顺利又有事事如意的寓意。光绪官窑霁蓝描金赏瓶的纹饰大多为皮球花和龙凤纹，像此类九世同堂的纹饰在以往市场上很少出现，故非常珍贵，收藏投资价值颇高。
