花觚造型小巧，身姿曼妙，外壁满施鱼子绿釉，釉层微乳浊，有细碎开片，纹如鱼子。釉色纯粹，鲜丽明目，光态浮莹。
有清一代，单色釉的烧造，技术方面再登巅峰。其中鱼子绿釉创于康熙，亦极于此时，至于三代之后，所制再无与前朝可比。且三代的鱼子绿器物，在彼时诸多色釉中，亦是寥寥难数。偶有所见，如鱼子绿釉菊瓣壶、鱼篓尊等，皆是“诗酒茶花”所用之物，其品贵格，绝非俗器可比。
