Robert Beauchamp New York, Massachusetts, Colorado,1923 - 1995 Depicts a serpentine figure over the head of a figural vulture flanked by to humanoid figures with a dog over vibrant green. Beauchamp studied art with Boardman Robinson at the Colorado Springs Fine Art Center before serving in the Navy during World War II. After the war he studied under Hans Hofmann for three years in Provincetown, Massachusetts and Manhattan New York. During his lifetime, Beauchamp had fifty four solo exhibitions including invitational shows at Whitney Museum and the Guggenheim. Oil on canvas,Canvas 48" x 73 1/2",Frame 48 3/4" x 74 1/4" Signed and dated "Beauchamp '82" lower right corner, signed "Robert Beauchamp" on verso.
