Laliberte studied at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Institute of Design in Chicago, and the School of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts as well as taught at the Rhode Island School of Design, Newton College, St. Mary's College at Notre Dame, and Kansas City Art Institute.
