Sven V. Ortquist Somoa, United States,1938-2013 Finely carved sculpture of an octopus with curled tentacles and a rat riding on its head from the legend of Feke and the rat in which a rat tricked an octopus to bring him to dry land, taking back his promise to repay the octopus. Ortquist was a master carver for the American Samoa Council on Arts, Culture and the Humanities as well as a resident at the Jean P. Hayden Museum in Pago Pago.
