A Polish hussar's estoc, circa 1670 Narrow thrusting blade of triangular section, deeply fullered on all sides. The point pitted and notched, a chip on the central section of the blade. Ornamental décor etched in the upper third, depicting a standing hussar, several crescent moons and a bird. Some of the inscriptions over-polished, including "pugna pro patria". The barely legible signature "... in Solingen" at the root of the blade. The iron quillons with a long crosspiece, a thumb ring on the reverse. The grip with original leather cover (imperfections, the grip with minor worm damage). The sheet brass pommel cap fastened with nails, the grip chain attached. The original wooden scabbard covered in black leather (slightly shrunken). Iron mounting, the two carrying straps each with two movable suspension rings. The chape with long, lateral bars. Length 136 cm.Condition: II - III
