此石突兀耸立，虽小巧却气势雄浑。石色青灰，质坚而缜密，表面奇崛多褶皱，间有深岰洞壑巉岩。峰顶向一侧探出，有下坠之险，如断壑绝壁，峰峦陡峭。山势侧偏斜欹，犹如孤松倒挂倚于绝壁，砯崖转石，奇诡多姿，似太白笔下蜀道之险。
