白玉質，局部帶黃沁。器呈圓柱形， 弧面微凹，腰際有橫向的凹槽， 頂部突出一勺，勺面下凹，底部為 一小盤形，邊緣圓滑，拋光仔細， 光澤較好，腰際有橫穿孔，可穿系 佩掛。王充《論衡》有雲：“司南 之杓，投入於地，其只指南。”可 見司南原用於指南定向。在漢代 栻占之風大盛時，又稱為測凶算 吉的工具。White jade with some yellow markings.
