A TWO-PANEL FOLDING SCREEN (BYOBU) BY KANO ISEN'IN NAGANOBU (1775-1828). Japan, 19th c. 182 × 90 cm. Ink, colours and gold leaf on paper. Amidst gold clouds two ladies and children on a terrace. Signed Isen hôgan hitsu and sealed. Signs of wear, minor damage and minor restoration. --------------- ZWEITEILIGER STELLSCHIRM (BYOBU) VON KANO ISEN'IN NAGANOBU (1775-1828). Japan, zwischen 1802-1816, 182 × 90 cm. Tusche, Farben und Blattgold auf Papier. Dichte Goldwolken geben den Blick auf eine Terrasse frei, in der Ferne ragen Berge heraus. Zwei im chinesischen Stil gewandete Damen stehen plaudernd herum, die verschiedenaltrigen Kinder bestaunen einen in zarter Frühlingsblüte stehenden Pflaumenbaum.
