22 kt Gelbgold. Designed to resemble ancient Roman earrings from the eastern Mediterranean, 2nd century A.D. The upper sections designed as shield motifs decorated with filigree suspending stiff grape droplets with gold wire scrolls and granulation. Mounted on modern 18k gold stud findings. H (without the modern amendments) 4.5 cm. Total weight 12.37 g. 19th/20th C.
