A Chinese Baluster Vase and Cover Of wide baluster form, supported on a spreading foot, the rounded sides rising to a wide shoulder set with a short straight neck, decorated in famille verte enamels, the body with a continuous courtly scene of an emperor surrounded by attendants, the presence of soldiers indicated by halberds, the shoulder with auspicious emblems set against a dense red honeycomb ground, the domed cover with knop finial similarly decorated with figures, the glazed base with a double circle in underglaze blue.
