Rose Bampton (Lakewood, Ohio 1907 – Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania) It was a famous American opera singer who had an active international career during the '30s and' 40s. He began his professional career performing mostly minor roles of the mezzo repertoire in 1929, but then went on to sing mostly main roles soprano in 1937 until he retired from the opera stage in 1963.
