Charles John De Lacy (1856-1929) Shipping on the Thames signed 'C J De Lacy' and dated 1883 l.l., oil on canvas 25.5 x 45.5cm Condition report: Oil on canvas which has not been lined. The canvas has good tension and the picture is generally in plane. Stretcher bar marks have formed in the paint layer, following the lines of the wooden stretcher behind. The paint layer is in a good, stable condition. There are a few localised areas of retouching, mainly located around the edges of the canvas. The varnish is slightly yellowed but even and glossy.
