此物为翡翠制扳指，质地透亮润泽，其色似碧、白两色晕墨，色泽青翠。扳指作圆筒形制，造型简洁明快，一口磨圆，一口略内倾，以方便佩戴。扳指古称韘，原为游牧狩猎引弓勾弦的实用器，后逐渐变为佩饰。清朝诸位帝王对翡翠扳指喜爱有加，因而盛极一时，达官贵人喜欢将之戴在手指摩挲，流露出地位、权利、富贵和气质，遂成为身份地位的象征。
