吉州窑制器，素以碗、盏类为大宗，又装饰多见窑变、剪纸贴花、剔花、彩绘等，如此单色实属罕见。此罐唇口，颈部微束，圆腹下部斜收，隐圈足。外壁满施黑釉。足底涩胎。釉面平整，釉色如墨似漆，色泽纯正，不见泛红。吉州窑黑釉瓷器的发色不似建窑和北方诸窑，釉面无浮光，质感自然古朴。
