玉带板为中国古代重要腰饰，由若干块玉带板镶嵌而成的玉带，是身份和等级的重要象征，玉带始见于南北朝，明代发展至顶峰。
带板和田玉雕琢，质地纯净，包浆古朴。开光内采用镂雕及透雕技法雕琢一龙纹逶迤穿行于花丛间，躯体婉转，呼之欲出，其四周生机盎然的花草纹曼妙瑰丽，美不胜收。镂雕及多层透雕为明代典型制玉工艺，器物多粗率，但如此精致细琢者，殊为少见。
