Vietnamese Empress Blue & White Porcelain Tea Cup & Saucer W/Fenghuang & Landscape Scenes- This is a blue and white porcelain tea cup and saucer set. The set is elaborately decorated in powder blue underglaze, and has a Fenghuang in the middle of the saucer, while the perimeter consists of multiple panels, each containing a different landscape scene. The tea cup has also been decorated on both the inside and the outside, with the Fenghuang pictured in the middle of the cup, and floral accents around the outside of the piece. It is believed that the Fenghuang only appears in areas or places that are blessed with utmost peace and prosperity or happiness. It is a symbol of high virtue and grace, and is said to represent power sent from the heavens to the Empress. Measurements: saucer-5" in diameter, tea cup-3" in diameter x 2"H.
